The estimates available here are provided as a service
to our clients. However, as each custom packing and shipping request
is unique, so is each estimate. Following are some general parameters
and considerations for the PakMail of San Marcos Estimator. Please
email with the request form or call
(512) 393-3420 with any additional questions.
- The
prices estimated are based on supplied dimensions and weights.
Your prices may vary based on actual dimensions and weights of
the shipment.
-
All letter or package shipment required to be pre paid before
shipping. No freight will move until packaging and freight charges
are paid in full.
- International
shipping estimates are available but because of additional regulations
and customs requirements greater detailed information will be
required. Please supply contact information for our logistics
division to be able to obtain an estimate.
-
The prices estimated may be subject to extended service charges.
Verify address and zip code before submitting estimate request.
- Estimates
are not guaranteed until weight, dimensions, and other pertinent
information is confirmed. Please verify if pre packaged or require
packaging so that the logistics division can provide an estimate.
-
Customer-packaged articles must meet PakMail and carrier packaging
standards. PakMail of San Marcos will inspect for compliance.
Any drop ship estimates must have packaging that meets PakMail
and carriers standards to be covered for any claims loss.
-
PakMail of San Marcos may require additional packaging to meet
standards, which may require additional fees. Please verify if
pre packaged or require packaging so that the logistics division
can provide an estimate.
- Truck
freight pricing can vary due to cargo density. PakMail of San
Marcos is trained to identify freight classification. Please provide
full description of items being shipped for proper class identification.
-
Truck freight shipments may require accessorial charges from the
freight line. These may include: residential delivery, inside
delivery, stair charges, and the like. If you require additional
services, you may request them in the additional information section.
- Large
freight must be tendered on a pallet. PakMail of San Marcos store
can provide this service. Please identify if the load is on a
pallet so that the logistics division can provide an estimate.
- All
large freight shipments must be accompanied by an itemization
of shipment contents and values
for declared value purposes. Failure to provide this could affect
freight damage or loss claims.
- These
estimates are based on a one-person pickup. If the shipper is
unable to help the driver load,
or the weight requires additional manpower, we may supply the
necessary personnel.
- Commercial
freight is estimated to the dock of the consignee's site, to the
back of the truck.
Any additional delivery requirement need to be identified for
the estimate.
- These
estimates do not cover animals, hazardous materials, contraband,
or mail order brides.
- Pricing
and timing of delivery varies across zip codes in the U.S. Please
confirm pricing and time commitments with Pakmail of San Marcos.
- Please
identify if assembly or disassembly is required on your item so
that the logistics division can provide an estimate.
- If
you mark a category or item generically, such as fragile, non-fragile,
very fragile, or extremely fragile, the price estimated may vary.
Please review definitions below.
-
PakMail of San Marcos will not guarantee plants or perishables.
- Shipments
with multiple packages may have discrepancies in pricing due to
shipping industry size
and weight calculations. Please provide dimensions and weight
of each package so that the logistics division can provide an
estimate.
